2025 Canadian National Champions
Thank you to everyone who was part of either of our events this past weekend. We’ll be sharing more formal thank-yous soon, but for now, the priority is getting IF3 World Championship invite information out as quickly as possible. This allows us to finalize Team Canada, allocate our support budget, and give athletes time to make necessary travel arrangements.
IF3 World Championship Invites
The mission of the Canadian Functional Fitness Federation is to send the best talent possible to represent Canada at the IF3 World Championships. While we did not publish minimum work requirements before the event, we have now set a clear standard for the first wave of invites. Athletes in this group have demonstrated the ability to complete all core movements expected at Worlds for their division or category.
Our secondary goal is to send at least 20 athletes to Worlds. Once the first wave is confirmed, we will begin sending out second wave invitations, and so on. If your name is listed under the first wave, please contact us as soon as possible to confirm your attendance. This helps us move efficiently through the invite list and lock in the final Team Canada roster. You can see our combined leaderboard and minimum work requirements listed here.
For IF3 World’s competition details, visit www.cfff.fit/competitions or check the IF3 website. The information listed there is all we currently have, and we will update the page as more details become available. Please do not email us for additional information at this time.
Athlete Financial Support
We are currently closing out event financials, but our intention is to pool any profits and distribute them evenly among athletes attending the IF3 World Championships. A portion of this funding must go toward Team Canada uniforms, as required by IF3. The remainder will be available to athletes to help offset travel costs.
While the support this year may be modest, we know every dollar helps. In future years, we aim to secure grants to expand our budget and better support our athletes. We will provide a final amount as soon as we can.
Event Feedback
The 2025 National Championships marked our return to in-person events after more than five years of hosting Nationals online. This shift allowed us to refine our Technical Official training and raise the standard of competition beyond what online qualifiers allow.
We are proud of what was accomplished across both events, but we know there’s room to grow. As a non-profit sport organization, we exist solely to serve our athletes and members so your feedback is essential. Please take a few minutes to complete our event feedback form, and feel free to share it with anyone who participated—athletes, coaches, volunteers, spectators, or brand partners. Your input will directly inform the planning of an even bigger and better event in 2026.
Podium Finishers
Congratulations to all our podium finishers! If your name is listed below, please email info@functionalfitnessfederation.ca with your current mailing address. We’ll send your medal along with some bonus items from our event partners. If your name also includes (1st wave), be sure to let us know whether you plan to attend the IF3 World Championships. The full leaderboard can be found on Circle21 or via our combined leaderboard export.
